Book Distraction

When I decide upon sobriety, I laser my focus onto a specific task.  Last year, completing a marathon became my distraction away from debauchery.

This year it will be books.

I've accumulated a few, books that have been finding refuge on a dust ridden free standing bathroom shelf next to my living room television.

A mid-century inspired computer desk now carries esoteric yet practical concepts & ideas driven into pages, waiting to be picked up.  A piece of fiction, and the eye sore of a postal exam preparation book (I'll explain later), are up for grabs as well.

Acting is philosophy & my intrigue for stoic mindfulness is strong.

I apologize if I attend any social gatherings fueled with subtle anxiety and mundane conversation starters.  I'll have a drink next year, I promise.
